Well, I guess I'm on here now?

I had this big intro post planned out in my head but now that I'm actually on the "post an entry" page I've totally frozen up. But I'll try to hit my main points that I can remember.
Basically, Dreamwidth seems kind of cool, and having a very casual blog might motivate me to write more and to share my writing more. I like the idea of being a published novelist someday, but in order for that to be a possibility you have to write things so you can be good-ish at it. Also it could be good for my brain to think through ideas and make them vaguely presentable in the form of Posts. And who knows, maybe I'll even make some Online Acquaintances. (I used to have those back when I used Instagram, and it was kind of awesome, but then I became an indie web bitch and I couldn't put up with the messy parts of Instagram anymore. [Well it's more complicated than that but that's a different story.])
I kinda tried to talk myself out of making an account on here, like "you have to do more lurking until you're sure this is the Perfect Place for You" and "oh it would be so much more eco-friendly if you coded your own blog". My brain is weird. Luckily if you delete your account on here, eventually it'll be gone and the username will be free again, so I can be like "I'm just trying it out, if I don't like it I can just delete my account and nobody will be worse off." I'm sure you're reading this and thinking, "Lu, are you okay?" and the answer is "not exactly!" (I have a therapist, I promise.)
Anyway, please stick your fingers through the bars of my cage (subscribe to my journal), especially if you're one of the two or so other people on this site who like Chonny Jash. I'll try to make the other posts less rambley than this one, but no promises!
